How to Submit your Blog to Google Webmaster

Google Webmaster is a tool for Website owners (and bloggers too) and if you want your site to appear in search engines then this post is for you.

What is Google Webmaster

As the name implies, Google Webmaster (or Search console) is for Webmasters who want their Web sites to be seen on search engines so basically, if you own/manage a Website (or Blog), you're a Webmaster and if you want the best of your site (I'm sure you do), you have to make Google Webmaster a must.

When you submit your site to Google Webmaster, it gets indexed and crawled so your site and contents (posts) are seen on search engines.

Why you need Google Webmaster

Like I said if you want the best of your site you need Google Webmaster. Search engines are a great source of generating traffic to your site (you should know the importance of traffic) and it's the duty of search console to bring your contents to search engine for users.

Not only does it bring your contents to search engines, there are other great features at your disposal like submitting a sitemap, setting a custom Robots.txt and monitoring your site's search performance. In Summary, Google Webmaster/Search console gives you full control over your site.

How to submit your site to Google Webmaster

Step 1: Go to Google search console page and click on 'Add property' at the top right of the page.

Step 2: Enter your Web address and click on 'Add'.

The next page that opens is where you'll verify your site ownership (if you're on blogger free domain i.e if your site address ends with your sites gets automatically verified). There are different methods to verify your site ownership but the easiest is 'HTML Tag' (you can use any method).

Step 3: To use 'HTML Tag', click on 'HTML file upload' and copy the code you see.

  1. I'm amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that's both equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you have
hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that too
few men and women are speaking intelligently about.
I'm very happy that I stumbled across this during my hunt for
    something relating to this.
